12 Memories/Blogs for Christmas – Day 9

the day I lost all sense/sanity of Umineko – when “I’ll have your head on a platter” was taken literally

I need to revisit Umineko one day when I can actually piece this together. Until then, this was one of the first horror anime which I watched, liked…but then got lost completely. Maybe I need to [...]

Umineko no Naku Koro ni 11 – Slice up those cow tits of yours and make me a sandwich.

Tako Maria. Lovely.
Decent episode overall and quite a way to end the second game between Battler and Beatrice, but even a blind man can see that the episode really was rushed through and through. I’d rather they have either somehow cut back on some other insignificant scenes during the last six episodes, or focused less [...]

Umineko no Naku Koro ni 08 – Weak Square.

What does WEEK SQUARE even mean DEEN? Week Squared maybe? Why is “two weeks” a proper title for this episode? Someone needs to get fired.
Anyways… holy hell on a strawberry sundae, the episode has done everything I was hoping it would do from watching the preview — mainly reigniting my once diminishing flame of interesting [...]

Turning back the pend- I meant Umineko 6

Ha ha ha. Here we go again.

Umineko 5 – I knew I needed the VN. Why?

Objection! Hold it! Take that!
Because Battler (and I) will not go into that gentle night. Rage, raeg rage against the dying of the light.
Thoughts?
Actually, I don’t have much. I don’t get it. So in this episode, the killer managed to kill off everyone except Battler, and apparently it’s still blamed on Beatrice, when she actually [...]

Umineko 04 – The final five…your pick?

So long story short, more killings have occurred and we are now left with the last 5 major characters in the story. Battler included, of course.
Who do you suspect could have done it? (I’d still vouch for Maria by instinct because she’s a loli psycho but something tells me there’s more to it than meets [...]

Umineko 3 – More for the killing

If you thought a mad Maria was bad enough…she gets worse.

Words to sum up Bakemonogatari/Canaan/Umineko (+1)

Bakemonogatari:

Deep.
(In a few more words: I liked how SHAFT can integrate the real life imagery along with typography to really plant the image in your head. Nicely done.)
Summing up the next round of episodes.
