intermissions: nichijou

part of me hopes for a second season.

Didn’t really tie up all the loose ends, but great ending. Thanks for all the laughs and the motivation, Nichijou. KyoAni strikes again. Cured my minor burnout this week. Sorry for a late and short intermissions this week! You will be missed, Nichijou. Too bad there’s no more episodes next week, guess there’s really only Mawaru/Idolmaster left now.

Darn, now I feel really bad for not finishing Nichijou, I think I am only on like episode 15 or something. I really should finish it soon.
As for loose ends, I thought Nichijou was just random comedy, did they actually develop a plot or something in the later episodes?

  Not really plot, but do finish it! It’s so random sometimes I ended up laughing throughout the whole scene (coming from someone that barely laughs at most comedy anime). Touching moments too.

It’s the kind of show that can never really have an ending. A second season would be great, but part of me hopes they’ll go on to make something else that’s even better.

If you can’t end with closure, end with something heartwarming. I’m really inspired to check out the manga now, just to see what else the series can bring to the table.

    I read over a couple raws and the Japanese is pretty easy with little to no lines. Although I kind of miss the animation. Oh well, time to get to work.

A week without Nichijou will be a bad week. So sad it’s over and even worse is that the sales aren’t that great

I do wonder what Kyoani will do now. Haruhi? Well, I’m in.

  The sales should be way higher than it is now. Too bad it’s being overshadowed by other great shows this season. Inspired to check the manga out, looks simple enough to read most of it. KyoAni’s next project? Please be another KEY work, please please please.

    Key, huh? I’m not a very big fan of their shows to be honest, but I can understand why people like them. I would love it if they made an anime original though, like they did with Angel Beats (and give it more than one cour!).
    
    But I guess… you would like Little Busters as everyone else?

      Yes indeed! I went through the whole visual novel. Surprisingly the only visual novel I’ve ever completely finished since I enjoyed the characters so much. Try it out!
      
      And Angel Beats needs a second season. 13 episodes just wasn’t enough.

        Hm, the thought of trying out a visual novel has struck my mind, but I don’t want a linear type if that’s the case.
        Unless it has some kind of gameplay and comedy, like the golden Ace Attorney-series (basically the only VN I’ve played) that is. I wan’t to decide what happens next, you know. Maybe a love VN would be better… but Little Busters is that, or am I wrong?
        
        Not too sure if it needs a second season to be honest. If anything, I would like a remake. The concept is too good to leave as it is. Death and afterlife really fascinates me when it’s done well.

        Little Busters does have a bit of gameplay and comedy, and it has a lot of different routes to choose from. I remember how frustrating the baseball game was until I finally won it. What do you mean by love VN? Ace Attorney was great. I wish another one would come out soon. OBJECTION! Oh, and if you don’t mind H, Sengoku Rance is amazing.
        
        A remake would be nice. Maybe a better ending.
