The week before school. Crammed as much gaming as I could with my immunity disorder. There were some good ones in the recent Comiket 80, as well as ones that recently came out.

As none of you may know, I have developed somewhat of an immunity for gaming as I grew older. I never thought the day would come where I could actually find games boring. I must be growing a beard one strand of hair on my chin or something.

I went to some online diagnosis site, and it diagnosed me with gaming immunity disorder (aka. shortus attentionus spanicus). So slowly I drifted back into the realm of single player games, and maybe a few multiplayer games with really good communities one day, if I can get over giving away my voice to the mic. The last game I did that on was Mabinogi. I miss that game before it turned into absolute hacker mania. But hey, my ADHD like symptoms helped me not get addicted to games like WoW and LoL.

Moving on, there were some games getting hype online that debuted in Comiket 80 that I wanted to check out, so I did just that. And they were pretty decent! I managed to last a few hours before uninstalling them for neat preservation of disk space.

Grief Syndrome

The one getting all the hype (besides Touhou, of course). A 2D sidescrolling Madoka Magica game from the people who brought you those Touhou fighting games, Tasofro. Aroduc says the game goes too slow, while I found it alright. Some characters are much more fun to play (Homura) and some are completely OP at times (Madoka). Surely enough, they tend to last farther into the game. I only played Madoka for a bit because Homura and her time freezing are too damn fun. Also, her rocket launcher skills are reminiscent of the good ol’ rocket jump. For the beginning though, Kyoko completely decimates all the stages because of her super spear. Apparently as you beat the game more and more times, the game goes into different laps (levels), making enemies and bosses harder. I couldn’t be bothered to go past the first lap though. flomu’s currently trying to be hipster by displaying his status on Steam, although he’s probably idling at the menu like you can do in some game thaT won’t be mentioned For sure, TO say the least. Some decent fun. Gamepad’s always a plus.

Lasted: 2-3 hours, give or take a couple of minutes.

Fairy Bloom Freesia

The game that should get more hype. Good, solid graphics and absolutely fun to play with a gamepad. It can get a tad repetitive at times, but I’m too distracted by new special attacks and fancy graphics to care. Fast paced and loaded with action for my attention deprived self. There’s also some challenging bosses that you have to pro dodge to get some nice hits in, which was a good addition. And it has a story mode! In moonrunes. Unfortunately, Grief Syndrome got the better of me and this one was the first to go.

Lasted: 1.5 hours exactly. I wanted to at least get to the 2nd lap in Grief Syndrome.

Ten Desires

I suck at Touhou so I didn’t play this. BUT, I have heard that this game is now the easiest out of the series. My crazy Touhou friend said that this was a piece of cake and that lunatic mode was a joke. So there. I should start playing this sometime. You can play as Fl Youmu, and if I remember correctly she could slice up enemies in game. Wow.

Lasted: The download time, archived

Misc. (there were also some other games I played)

Bastion

I am literally just playing this game to hear the narrator talk. I couldn’t care less for the gameplay/upgrades and stuff. Seriously. Probably until I get…

Deus Ex

I never played the first one, but this one looks quite good. It has stealth action and I am reminded of how much I loved Metal Gear, so I must play this.

Maybe if more of my friends could bother downloading a game to begin with, I would play something like TF2 or an MMO again. But meh.

P.S. I’m currently away on a camping trip when this post gets published, so sorry if I don’t reply to anything. Also trying to cut down on my posts just a bit so that it isn’t completely tl;dr, and making a few tweaks in my writing here and there.
