The fifth and sixth days…and I remember those sad times.
The time when Yuuki actually died is when I started to feel the realism of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. At first I thought the studio was too chicken to kill off Yuuki, and that the family would all get back together in some stereotypical ending. However, Bones changed the whole game around and showed us how real they could portray the series. Even though the show may not be called such a realistic show due to several reasons, I still believe Tokyo Magnitude portrayed what would happen in a real earthquake quite well. The slight hints at his death and Mirai’s way of denial, and finishing it with a melancholy ending was what made this show jump out of the screen and exceeded my original expectations.

Another moment which I must reminiscence from the past is when Makoto died. Kanon was such a great anime; I finally watched it this year and although it was from the previous years, it made the sleepless nights marathoning it worthwhile. I’ve already made my essay/post on it before, if you haven’t seen it already.
The blog I recommend for today is We Remember Love.

What got me attracted to this blog is the killer theme and banner that I wanted to use for my own. Actually, it was the posts itself. While RandomC has good summaries, it is the insight that draws me to this blog. The posts on Tokyo Magnitude which I first stumbled upon had some real insight and thoughts and speculations as well as revealing the meanings and hints behind each episode. True dedication and devotion has been put into this blog; a thumbs up.

totally agree with you about Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 Such a great suprise.
Sad…but true.
When I watched the episode in which they showed Yuuki’s “death” scene, I thought “Well, we could be heading to an ending which could be a ‘happily ever after’ ending.” I was so wrong after a couple more episodes. That was the integral part of the series, and made me realise that series can have a fair share of differences in ending while maintaining a good/delectable status.
If ever anyone were to ask me which scene in Kanon was sad (almost every scene had a sad end), I always go for the Makoto route. I don’t know, but there’s something about Makoto’s character that makes her disappearance more meaningful than the rest (yes, even Ayu’s). So, we’re on the same boat, I guess?
I cried watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. That show is pretty damn real if you asked me and Kanon is better than Clannad because Nagisa did not exist
I need to finish watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 to see him die off. :<
