Ha ha ha. Here we go again.

Summary: Start of a new arc. Everything is reset.
Analysis: Hmm, random new OP appearance in Beatrice’s part. Interesting. The second arc is the part where it really gets good, I’m hoping, rather than all the random killings and everyone dies -> bad end. It’s also quite sad to see the furniture/human relationship going on with George being the proud member of the family while Shannon (Saya) is just a servant. Kanon also thinks of himself as furniture and not a regular guy and blames everything on Beatrice. Poor Jessica. Although we have a random concert as well in this episode to showcase Jessica’s singing skills. Overall a good episode and hope the arc gets better as they dive into the history/relationships and the sort.
You’ll notice that each arc focuses on something different, and is usually told from a different perspective. Unlike the first arc, which is told from Battler’s perspective, it looks like this one focuses on the relationships between George and Shannon, and Jessica and Kanon, and as such, told from the perspectives of the people involved. Maybe there will be more to come, since this is just the beginning…
Also, another thing to notice is how the term “furniture” is further expanded on, and how magic is more prevalent. I think Beatrice also mentioned something about Kanon and Shannon having the power to see her, or something like that, which might hint at something bigger.
I’m still not sure how all of these would fit in with the info from the last arc, but this is what I liked about Higurashi, and what I’m looking forward to doing in Umineko: To piece together the events and the information given by each arc to see the big picture, and what’s really going on. Kinda like assembling a puzzle, where you’re gradually given pieces as it goes on, and in the end you get to assemble everything and complete the puzzle.
I’m definitely looking forward to next week’s episode.
The rest of the arc is a complete mind****. Be prepared, and don’t give up on solving the mystery.
