Usually then is it okay to link back to the image where you find it? That’s what I usually do, otherwise I usually mention that this is a fanart found so and so.. I do expect, and as I see from my stats – occasionally people do press on the link to go back to the original site where I linked it to.

To not credit, and take as your own – isn’t that considered plagiarism and rude – if the artist finds out what is happening? I recall seeing how someone stole images from Dancing Queen and that was just rude. Or as in the example of Hinano – report the shit out of them..

@TP: Until the OFP police arrive, I’m pretty much impartial about this.
@Bill: Another movement to credit fanart. -_-
@msdzero: Make your skins, that I don’t think people will rage on. Just like avatars and the such.
@Argyle: Which is why authors need to make an effort too.

So many issue, but yea. I’m sure bloggers would credit if they saw something that said, “Please credit and link back if you use this art elsewhere.” … I don’t think the majority are purposly trying to “steal” art.

Thats true~! Some people actually use my drawings in sites every now and then, some don’t even credit me even though my signature is right THERE~!! T__T…..I also love crediting ppl..but most of the time..i don’t see an artists’ name in the picture or inside the picture data -__-

What’s up with this hot topic about crediting the artist? I credit the artist when I post a fanart(if I knew where the art was), well expect my art since I don’t want people to know I drew it. XD …. Oh shi-
