Dynamic! Fall 2009 Anime Preview

42beadd2c29437174fad6438dd2467dd

I was going to post up an early Fall preview after I finished catching up with all my posts one by one, and look what happened. I learned my lesson. Now, for a fall impressions post that is actually WAY more informative than the last Spring preview post.

So, enjoy my Dynamic! Fall 2009 Anime Preview. Dubbed the term ”Dynamic!”? because it’s just that awesome, and in nerdy terms, updated constantly to bring you the latest info you need, fast. Also because anyone can just throw a chart up and call it a day.

Latest updates

8/1/2009 – Added all anime producers to the list. Made a few corrections and added OVA chart for preview.

8/10/2009 – Linked some new titles below in the “Also to be noted” section as well as airdates for Kobato, Natsu no Arashi 2, and trailers for Dark than Black 2.

Trapeze

trapeze

Also known as: 空中ブランコ,, Flying Trapezes, Kuchu Buranko, Kuuchuu Blank

Animated by: Toei Animation

Airing Schedule: Debuting October 2009, 11 episodes.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Introducing Melative, baby. out with the old and in with the new.  This cool new site I’ve been trying out for a while includes the links to all sources: official website, AniDB, ANN, MAL, Wikipedia…you know the drill, and has a ton more information to boot.

Summary: Irabu Ichiro is an eccentric psychiatrist. Patients, who visit him to have a counseling, are perplexed with his weird behavior.

Thoughts: It seems like some pretty deep stuff. Weren’t any trailers to see so I’m withholding my opinion for now. If it goes the Bakemonogatari route or the psychiatrist being even crazier than the patient, then I’ll jump right to it. Also from the guys that brought you Digimon, DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh and the such…so I’m still a bit iffy about this.

Chances of blogging it? Okay.

Armed Librarians

bantorra

Also known as: Tatakau Shisho, Tatakau Shisho to Koisuru Bakudan, Fighting Librarians

Animated by: david production

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: Trailer 1

Resources: Melative

Summary: In a world where dead people turn into books and are stored in the Bantorra Library where anyone who reads a book can learn their past. Bantorra Library is maintained by Armed Librarians who wield psychic powers and their enemy is a religious society known as Sindeki Kyoudan.

Thoughts: Made by the guys who did Code Geass R2 and Restaurant Paradiso…and the title tells me that it’s about psychic librarians that battle an anti-library cult? Sounds messed up to me. On the other hand, I’m all up for crazy new concepts and nice artwork, so I’ll be on the lookout for this. Looks like there’s some decent fights in there too. Oh, and did I mention that the main character lost all his memories and has a bomb inside his chest?

Chances of blogging it? Pretty Good.

Darker than Black: Comet of Gemini

15047l

Also known as: DARKER THAN BLACK -流星の双子(ジェミニ)-, Darker than Black 2, Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor, Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini

Animated by: BONES

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: Trailer 1/2 (onsite)

Resources: Melative

Summary: In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as “Hell’s Gate” appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. Hei is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents, and along with his blind associate, Yin, works for one of the many rival agencies dying to unlock the mysteries of Hell’s Gate.

Thoughts: I haven’t seen the first season yet but it looks quite mysterious and interesting to my tastes. Perhaps I’ll take a look at the beginning of the second season and see how it goes from there.

Chances of blogging it? Good.

A Certain Scientific Railgun

14021l

Also known as: とある科学の超電磁砲, とある科学の超電磁砲(レールガン), To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

Animated by: J.C. Staff

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far (but it’s been mentioned/shown clip of so many times in the actual anime so I know it’s going to be good.)

Resources: Melative

Summary: Academy City. 2.3 million inhabitants. 80% of the students are active in the ‘Brain Development Program’ and out of those only 7 are Level 5s.

Meet the civilian protagonist Mikoto and her friend Kuroko, maintainers of peace and order in the University district. Kuroko is a member of ‘Judgement’.

Thoughts: This is one of the shows I’ve been waiting for since they released the manga for it, along with someone else whom I know will blog nothing but it. Adapted from the original To Aru Majutsu no Index and featuring Mikoto as the main character, I know fans of Index will probably enjoy this anime as well, as I sure do. Watching this series straight off the bat wouldn’t hurt either, as J.C. Staff doesn’t disappoint.

Chances of blogging it? 20080619-awesomehuge

Letter Bee

14640l

Also known as: テガミバチ, Tegami Bachi

Animated by: Studio Pierrot

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Gauche is a governmental employee, given the task to deliver any letter to it’s destination. Meeting a young boy who is the letter to be delivered, Gauche makes friends with Lag and inspires him to take up the job. Five years later, Lag Seeing finally becomes his dream, that of a Letter Bee. However, the one who inspired him has gone missing and only there does the mystery start.

Thoughts: Hmm, a possibly inspirational themed anime…sounds ok. The art is nice too so if it manages to soften/hype me up in the first episode, I say go for it. Plus, they worked on Doraemon, Midori Days, and Hikaru no Go. All titles that I know and love.

Chances of blogging it? Very good.

Shin Koihime Musou

13737l

Also known as: Shin Koihime†Musō: Otome Ryōran Sangokushi Engi, Shin Koihime†Musou: Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi, 真・恋姫†無双 ~乙女繚乱☆三国志演義~

Animated by: DOGA Productions

Airing Schedule: Debuting October 2009, episodes unknown

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Continuing the series, the franchise based off the prequel eroge game re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) as a “moe (fiery), moe (preciously cute) action love comedy” with an almost all-female cast.

Thoughts: Well I think Chartfag’s preview screenshot totally through me off there. Turns out to be a second season of the harem/eroge anime without the male lead even. Never watched the prequel and probably wouldn’t watch this one as well based on my crappy experience with eroges.

Chances of blogging it?  no

Kampfer

1wvuscv1kkwizs1d54z4h1v8q791vzqcpf_300

Also known as: Kämpfer, Kenpufer, けんぷファー

Animated by: NOMAD

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009.. episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Senou Natsuru is your normal, everyday high school student. However he’s been chosen to be a Kampfer, who’s objective consists on fighting other Kampfer with either guns, swords or magic, however, there’s catch; first you can’t chose if you’re a Kampfer or not, and second, you must have the body of a girl to use your powers. Thus, one day he wakes up to find himself turned into a girl. A stuffed tiger “Harakiri Tora” gains a life and tells him to fight as a female psychic fighter “Kämpfer”.

Thoughts: A bishoujo battle & school love comedy it seems. Love comedies are my sort of thing, but genderbender? Wouldn’t see how things will work for there. I’m also a bit iffy about the studio NOMAD doing this as I’m disappointed with its current work, Gendai Mahou. So far, no go.

Chances of blogging it? Poor.

Sacred Blacksmith

v8wu61shbpwg1akdwv41h28h21k21c2t_300

Also known as: Seiken no Blacksmith, 聖剣の刀鍛冶(ブラックスミス)

Animated by: Manglobe

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: Trailer 1

Resources: Melative

Summary: The story takes place after an abominable war that foisted a “devil’s contract” upon a land. Cecily Campbell, a former noble’s daughter who joined a knighthood, encounters a man who dispatches some hoodlums with one sweep of a mysterious sword. The man possesses the power of the same “devil’s contract” that has become taboo, now that peace has been restored. Cecily has been searching for a blacksmith who can repair an old sword she inherited from her father, and that mysterious young man happens to be blacksmith named Luke. This encounter launches their adventures together.

Thoughts: Possibly a digiwombat liking. Same studio. Somehow it reminds me of Queen’s Blade with less fanservice and Princess Lover in a medival time. A mix of themes, you could all it. There’s definitely not enough fantasy anime to go around these days, and to see romance, relationships, and the total annihilation of monsters in one shot without all the unnecesarry fanservice as in the good old times makes me feel nostalgic (in a good way) again. If it goes the fanservice/harem way however…that’s a whole different story.

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Fairy Tail

15825l

Also known as: フェアリーテイル

Animated by: A-1 Pictures Inc., Satelight

Airing Schedule: Debuting October 2009, episodes unknown

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isnt just any ordinary kid, he’s a member of one of the world’s most (in)famous mage guilds: Fairy Tail. Based on the manga.

Thoughts: Oh. F***. Yes. Fairy Tail finally comes out on anime, my dream come true. Those who already read the manga should know this is the shit. Also animated by the producers who did Kannagi, and Basquash makes this an even better WIN. Those who haven’t read the manga yet, watch it. You won’t be disappointed.

Kobato

1ybbqgz1kv9pcs1jxmh87521gti2kquf7_300

Also known as: こばと。

Animated by: Madhouse, CLAMP, NHK

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009. 24 episodes.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Kobato is sweet and perky girl, but also extremely naive about the world around her. She has a “mission”, which is to fill a mysterious bottle of hers with the suffering from people’s hearts so her wish to go a certain place that she desires to go can be granted. However, she must not fall in love with a particular boy she works with and whose heart she must heal.

Thoughts: I’d probably watch this just because it’s CLAMP, animated by the studio which does CLAMP and other great works (Death Note, Chaos Head, Kaiba…ringing any bells?), and simply because the art and manga was great.

Chances of blogging it? Pretty good.

Kimi no Todoke

1srpt2qsiie7wzqe2dfq6vwd51w3z1yx_300

Also known as: Reach You, Reaching You, From Me to You, 君に届け

Animated by: Production I.G.

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Kimi ni Todoke is about a girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from the ring) because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya kun becomes her friend and, to her, is “100% refreshness.” Kuronuma Sawako’s one wish in life is to make friends. That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. She admires her classmate, Kazehaya-kun, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her.

Thoughts: I can sympathize with this. Making true friends can be tough, you know. It’s shoujo…but Production I.G. can probably make it enjoyable and a turnabout for people (Eden of the East), hoping it’ll turn out to be a light/touching series.

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Sasameki Koto

d889kn5p98rsqbbc93ko7naa6yyyi5_300

Also known as: Sasamekikoto, Sasame Kikoto, ささめきこと

Animated by: AIC

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Murasame Sumika is popular in the high school for her excellence in the marks and sports. However, she has a secret: she is in love with her classmate Kazama Ushio. Ushio also has a liking to the love between girls, but she hasn’t noticed Sumika’s feeling and always been refused by other girls.

Thoughts: It’s yuri so automatic haet for me, sorry. One episode is all I’ll give it before I am reminded of White Album again.

Chances of blogging it? Poor.

Winter Sonata

tu65jkymxn4nl9wo0dwh5t9orm2eds_300

Also known as: 冬のソナタ, 겨울연가, Fuyu no Sonata, Winter Sonata, Winter Ballad, Winter Love Story

Animated by: G&G, JM Animation

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Tuesday, September 29 2009. 26 episodes.

Trailers: Trailer 1, Trailer 2

Resources: Melative

Summary: Based on the Korean drama television series about the love between two childhood friends and the tragic events that happen. The drama was a huge hit in Japan.

Thoughts: My mom would brainwash me with Korean dramas in the past, so now I’ve grown to love them. Definitely a recommended watch even if you might have doubts about the anime, because the drama was great. Seeing the original actors in the anime will definitely make me cry tears of manliness again.

Nyan Koi!

1ymylxed2frss1xepbcrg9c67n10jbc29_300

Also known as: Nyan Koi, Nyankoi, にゃんこい!

Animated by: AIC

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Junpei Kōsaka is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Kaede Mizuno, a girl who adores cats. One day, while walking home from school, Junpei kicks an empty can and unfortunately beans the local neko-jizō-sama (guardian deity of cats). He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family’s own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into cat himself.

Thoughts: I’m not really a fan of the story…nor a fan of the anime the studio’s released (Asu no Yoichi, Seta no Hanayome). It might start out okay, but I have a feeling that it’ll get dull or turn into another harem soon. Although it’s still comedy, so I’ll give it a slightly better chance.

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza

5tar4y10l5so98di5ej1047yajqa84q0_300

Also known as: Secret of Haruka Nogizaka: Purezza, Haruka Nogizaka’s Secret 2, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Pure Lezza, 乃木坂春香の秘密ぴゃあれっつぁ

Animated by: Diomedea

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: A continuation of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. In the story, Yuuto Ayase is an ordinary boy in an private high school with the usual cliques. Haruka, the school’s most unattainable girl, is so idolized in the school for both her beauty and smarts that her classmates nickname her Nuit Étoile (The Silver Star of the Night) and Lumière du Clavier (The Shining Princess on the Piano). However, in the school’s library, Yūto stumbles across her and her darkest secret — she is a diehard fan of anime, manga, and otaku culture.

Thoughts: I haven’t completely caught up with the prequel as a whole but it’s definitely something to keep track of this season. Maybe my romance will go something like this. Otaku meets otaku…love ensues. ~_~

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Natsu no Arashi 2

4mo37s1dtwus61l05zxx2bsdzx125wo6k_300

Also known as: Summer Storm! 2, 夏のあらし! 第2期(仮)

Animated by: SHAFT

Airing Schedule: Debuting on Sunday, October 4th, 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: A continuation of the first season of Natsu no Arashi. Thirteen-year-old Yasaka is a boy staying at his grandfather’s house during his summer vacation. One day he entered a store and met Arashi, a beautiful sixteen-year old girl working there. After trying to protect her from a man who claims to have been hired by her family to take her back by force, Yasaka ran away with her and now she stays at his grandpa’s place with him. It didn’t take much time for Yasaka to figure out that his new friend is far from an ordinary girl, as she possesses mysterious powers. The plot thickens when he finds a sixty-year-old picture of Arashi and another girl named Kaja, and to the surprise of all Kaja suddenly appears, and just like Arashi, her appearance hasn’t changed at all since then.

Thoughts: Liked the idea of time travel but the artwork and tempo of the anime didn’t impress. Probably not blogging this series as it’s just a continuation.

Chances of blogging it? Little to non-existent.

Asuza Cryin’ 2

1lj7czpfbyp6l1w5m4mx1fnw7yy1c8nyfp_300

Also known as: アスラクライン

Animated by: Seven Arcs

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: The second season of Asura Cryin’. Tomoharu is a normal high school student… except for he’s not alone. Haunted by the ghost of his dead childhood best friend, he moves into a new home in time for the new school year. That becomes a little more difficult than anticipated when his house becomes overrun with various female occult users. Even worse than that he has been pulled into a fight to protect a trunk within the house that others want to steal.

Thoughts: Again, wasn’t really into the supernatural/mecha plot, and the other series just overshadowed this anime. Probably not blogging this series as it’s just a continuation, again.

Chances of blogging it? Little to non-existent.

White Album 2

12056l

Also known as: White Album Second Season, White Album the Latter Half, WHITE ALBUM 第2期

Animated by: Seven Arcs

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. 13 episodes.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: The second season of White Album (episodes 14-26). Adapted from the Leaf eroge. The White Album game centers around Tōya Fujī, a college student dating a rising idol singer named Yuki Morikawa. The game deals with the challenges to the couple’s relationship from the other people at Fujī’s college, Morikawa’s work, and elsewhere.

Thoughts: Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn. No.

Chances of blogging it? Little to non-existent.

Queens’ Blade: Heir to the Throne

1rbjscresk2znjgscy7gq9e64kb4c75_300

Also known as: QUEEN’S BLADE and the evil eye, Queen’s Blade 2, Queen’s Blade 2, Queen’s Blade: Gyokuza wo Tsugumono, クイーンズブレイド 玉座を継ぐ者

Animated by: ARMS

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: The second season of Queen’s Blade. A competition to decide the next Queen. The strongest warrior will rule the country and expand it. The contestants need to be older than 12. They need not be human, intelligent or even of that country. The rules for the tournament: murder is allowed. Any weapon can be chosen. This is based on a series of visual combat books published by Hobby Japan which based on the licensed works from Lost Worlds. First published in 2005, it features only female characters.

Thoughts: Do I really have to speak of this series after seeing the blatant fanservice filled, crappy animation filled, first season? Don’t Google it, it makes things worse.

Chances of blogging it? Non-existent except maybe for the lulz.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms

1lqyguzsmfww1nt4uyb215t131xqtn1h_300

Also known as: 三国演義, Romance of the Three Kingdoms (2009), Sangoku Engi

Animated by: Future Planet Co., TOMY

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. 52 episodes.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: A Chinese-Japanese anime adaptation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel classic.

Thoughts: Another adaption. Interesting that it’s a Chinese-Japanese collab, but I’m not too fond of historic battles. Must have been the cramming last year for history. =\ Anyways, been there, done that, so unless you’re a die hard fan, there’s better things to watch.

Chances of blogging it? Poor.

11eyes

12qi0671lq9np31b0zll91x884uzrmq0n8_300

Also known as: 11eyes -Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo-

Animated by: Dogakobo

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: Satsuki Kakeru lost his sister by suicide and has been living a dull life ever since then. One day, he is transported into a bizarre world “Red Night” along with his friend Minase Yuka. In order to survive and escape from Red Night, he fights against Dark Spirits (Ralva) and Black Nights.

Thoughts: First episode and his sister suicided already? Interesting. Although looks like there’s only two guys from the picture…hope it doesn’t contain a harem of villains. Hoping that this is the action, mystery packed anime of the season. Another less dark themed Canaan, maybe? I heard the VN was amazing so maybe it’ll rock just like the rest. Or it can go the other way as the designs do look a bit “meh” to me.

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Inuyasha Final Act

15939l

Also known as: Inu Yasha: Kanketsu-hen, 犬夜叉 完結編

Animated by: Sunrise

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: It’s the final chapter of the Inuyasha series titled “InuYasha Kanketsu-hen” and the original staff and cast will animate the manga volumes 36 – 56.

Thoughts: What a classic. And the second half’s finally getting animated. Don’t know whether I’ll still have time to blog this series. A very good watch to say the least. One historic type romance anime I’ll make an exception for one of my lists.

Chances of blogging it? Very Good.

Heaven’s Lost Property

19r36zo72q1mo1ljxj4d1uh6z101mtd4uk_300

Also known as: そらのおとしもの, Sora no Otoshimono

Animated by: A.I.C. A.S.T.A.

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: Trailer 1

Resources: Melative

Summary: Sakurai Tomoki has been having the same strange dream since he was a child and would wake up in tears. Sugita, an upperclassmen as his school, believe the dream to be of the new continent. Later that night while waiting under the cherry trees for his Sugita and Sohara, his childhood friend, an angel comes flying down.

Thoughts: Another ecchi comedy, apparentlywith an angel this time. The trailer showed some good fight scenes and some funny moments. From the same producers with came up with Bamboo Blade, it should be more comedy and less ecchi, so I can expect some laughs from this.  The manga is quite decent as well. Possibly one of Shinn’s new loli victim tenshi?

Chances of blogging it? Good.

Seitokai no Ichizon

x0ul9mdc9oxg1le99fduou12ex9cz8q_300

Also known as: It’s Student Council’s Judgement, 生徒会の一存

Animated by: Studio Deen

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: The members of the student council of Hekiyou Gakuen are chosen by a popularity vote. As a result, all the members are cute girls except for Sugizaki Ken, who studied hard to enter the council. This novel is about the endless chattering of the members with full of parodies of “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”, “Dragon Ball” etc.

Thoughts: Parodies? Comedy? Studio Deen? Umineko/Higurashi producers? I’ll give this a go for sure. Just can’t wait to see all the references and laugh out loud at them. Feels like a Zetsubou Sensei without the Zetsubou but still with the hilarious references. TROLL HARUHI! TROLL HARUHI!

Chances of blogging it? Very Good.

Yumeiro Patissiere

ubxdnwgru7fq1sp7zl544zwk7rz7keu_300

Also known as: Yumeiro Pâtissière, Yume-Iro Pâtissière, Yume-Iro Patissiere, Dream-Colored Pastry Chef, Yumeiro Pâtissier, Yumeiro Patissier, 夢色パティシエール

Animated by: Studio Pierrot

Airing Schedule: Debuting on October 2009. Episodes unknown.

Trailers: None so far.

Resources: Melative

Summary: The story centers on a 14-year-old girl named Ichigo Amano who wants to be a pâtissière (female pastry chef), but she is stymied by her own clumsiness. One day, she enrolls in St. Mary Academy, a culinary school for sweets, and meets a “spirit of sweets.”

Thoughts: A kiddy Cooking Mama tournament style. Sounds yummy but I’m not into shoujo or just pastries. More diversity at least.

  1. Hiroshi says:

    Nice nice, lovely work indeed.

  2. You use URL hashes like this:

    [a href="#ToAruButtsexNoRailgun"]To Aru Buttsex no Railgun[/a]

And then to ADD FLAVAH TO SAVAH you add the following at whatever point on the page you want the above link to send the person:

    [a name="ToAruButtsexNoRailgun"]ToAruButtsexNoRailgun[/a]

Enjoy. Obviously change the brackets to proper tags.

  3. Netto says:

Shoujo is somewhat scary sometimes… I guess I’m not used to watching bishounens >_>.

  4. Seinime says:

@Hiroshi: Thanks, I seriously killed so much time with this in a good/bad way.
@Randall Fitzgerald: Thanks, I’ll be sure to do that next time. Although what happens in the manga does classify as buttsecks.
    @Netto Me either.

  5. Ryan A says:

    BOB lol, looks hawt.

    DtB2: I haven’t seen the first season
    GO. MARATHON.

    Kampfer: genderbender?
It does make me curious. I recall putting in infos for the light novels, and the designer were to my liking.

    Production I.G. mix shoujo… want.

Nogizaka 2: I haven’t completely caught up with the prequel
It’s pretty typical imo. You could probably finish one while the other is airing and not really get much difference in effect.

Inuyasha-hen: And the second half’s finally getting animated
I never finished the first, stalled around ep90, and in the manga around volume 40 something. I do think this is a good thing, and I’m semi-confident they won’t enter filler hell, but who knows.

Well dang. That was a lot of info O.o If you want super-ultra-aquatic-erotic dynamic, could probably use javascript and pull JSON (like here http://melative.com/api/media.meta.json?anime=Fairy+Tail ) ^^
On another dev note, it’d be awesome if that sort of thing pulled up other pre-season thoughts, possibly stuff mentioned in the stream.

Epic post, I can see why you would be brain dead after making it.
White Album 2 is not yawn! You get to see main char try to date all the women at once. *cough*
Kimi no Todoke should be good if Production I.G. is working on it. Became one of my favorite studios after GiTS and the more recent Eden of the East.
    Didn’t know about melative, nice!

  9. DK Eternity says:

Nice post. No wonder this really tired you out.
Wait, you haven’t watched the first season of Darker than Black? Watch it NOW.
I’m not exactly a fan of shoujo anime, but Kimi no Todoke is an exception, plus it’s Production IG we’re talking about. I think it’ll be great.
About Fairy Tail: Yeah, I’ve been wondering for years when this would be animated.
About Winter Sonata: I’ve got friends and relatives bugging me to watch it as well.
Overall, there aren’t a lot of shows I’m looking forward to this Fall, but the ones I’m interested in are enough to make me consider this season great.

  10. fangzhao says:

    T minus 65 days.

  11. Seinime says:

@Ryan A: I’m definitely going to try to incorporate that somehow. Plus I’ll be ready to go WTF when I see ‘em.
    @Rin: Definitely.
@Reltair: But..yuri…actually it’s not that, I’m not fond of ye olden times more. >_> Maybe I’ll change my mind on those series once I see them again. Watch for my big info post on Melative soon ;O
@DK_Eternity: Thanks, my head is hurt from aftershock. Darker than Black, I shall watch soon. Production IG will probably convince me otherwise too. Can’t wait for Fairy Tail and Winter Sonata (WATCH IT!)
    @fangzhao Wha…? Oh. Yes. =D

Hmm, I’ve not read Fairy Tail, but if it’s good as everyone says it is, it’ll go on my “must watch” list.

  14. Seinime says:

@TheFuzzy It’s worth it. Looks like One Piece art at first glance.

  15. msdzero says:

I was like “WTF” when hearing that Queen’s Blade have its 2nd season. I don’t really like those fanservice. Still, I’m wondering how many episodes Fairy Tail will have ?
I hope this fall(or should we say, autumn) season will be more interesting than summer. Good job making this list. You really deserve some rest ;)

  16. otakubaka says:

definitely looking forward to Fairy Tail

  17. Seinime says:

@msdzero All the interesting/good anime come during school >_> And I got my rest, time to work again. *ties that white headband with the words “must win” on them* IKUSEEEEEEEEEEEE!
    @otakubaka Me too. Go Natsu!

@Netto Just that I’m tired of people who say it sucks and don’t say why.

  21. TJ says:

I’m gonna take one for the (proverbial) team and watch Queen’s Blade. Wish me luck lol.
I’ll watch Railgun too but that’s probably it.

  22. RP says:

I know I said this about summer too, and it turned out great, but the fall schedule looks really weak… the only non-sequel that’s captured my attention (at least right now) is Armed Librarians – and that might be the stupidest title ever.

  23. Seinime says:

@TJ: I bid you good luck on Queen’s Blade, my man. At least you might have some good troll posts up ready for it!
@RP: At first I thought so as well. But I learned that fall tends to turn towards the better in the middle, and that good anime always jump in during school =\

  24. I’m actually more excited for the OVAs then the anime. I mean, Shana, Mai Otomi (pleasant surprise for me). There’s a lot of good stuff. I only care about InuYasha right now though. Everything takes a backseat.

This is the best season preview I’ve ever read.

  25. jusuchin85 says:

Now I understand why this post took you a long time to complete! It’s really a nicely compiled piece of work.

It looks like this fall should be an interesting season. Before this, I only look at Nogizaka Haruka, Kampfer, White Album and Darker Than BLACK as potential watchlist material. But after reading this lineup, I’m placing Armed Librarians, Fairy Tail, Kobato and Kimi no Todoke in with the current lineup.

Although one series did caught my attention with something else: Kimi no Todoke sounds like a Kare Kano look-alike. Well, maybe; since the show does have some similar plot-lines.

Oh man. This fall will be a harder act for me to continue my weekly blogging. I’ve gotta choose the three most appropriate for blogging! ^^
    .-= jusuchin85´s last blog ..Bakemonogatari EP 03 =-.

  26. Seinime says:

Glo The Legend: Can’t wait until Inuyasha gets his new techniques, I’d love to see them animated. The OVAs are quite good as well, I agree. Shana will definitely be on the look out for me. And I love you for saying that. If there’s anything you would suggest to add for next time, I’ll definitely take a note for it. Seiyuus? Etc?
@jusuchin85: Thanks for the compliment, it really makes it worthwhile to write up this post. This fall certainly has some good shows to watch. And be careful for the ones that turn good in the middle, those can really get you xD Good luck and Ganbatte! on your blogging!

no! dont say that about natsu no arashi! Shaft did an excellent job on it, and im sure the second season will be even better!

    1. Seinime says:

      I can only hope so.

  32. Silentdon5 says:

Fairy Tail and Letter bee definitely gonna watch.

  33. ManaChwan says:

So many comments @u@’. I didn’t get through them all, so I don’t know if anyone corrected you but it’s ‘Kimi ni Todoke’ (unless they changed it for the anime). And it didn’t start out particularly shoujo at all, just funny and quite touching.
And Fairy Tail anime gets a HELL YES. I don’t have a liking to anime in particular actually, but Fairy Tail is one of those manga that while I’m reading, I got a yearning to see and hear it. And from what I understand of the seiyuu, Gray’s voice is Iceman, so that’s sexiness. But Natsu? No Luffy sounding voice (unless I’m wrong)? Bwahhh. Unless they got a straight up shounen voice picked out (but don’t women do all the main big shounen voices anyway??).

Fall is looking nice. And thanks for posting all this.

    1. Seinime says:

Thanks! I’ll make a note of that. Thanks for visiting >_<
