I love epic gaming.

Summary: Saki starts off with a girl called Saki (big surprise, eh?) that is dragged into a mahjong club by her friend Kyou. Because of a somewhat harsh past after playing mahjong with her parents, Saki has grown to hate mahjong, and thus has developed incredible luck to get a ±0 score in every single game, so she neither wins nor loses. At first the other members think that it is a fluke, until the president drags Saki in again and has her perform another ±0 miracle even in the toughest of situations.

Thoughts: That was a pretty nice jam packed episode. IMO it’s got a Hikaru no Go feel to me, as well as kind of following the same plotline as well (ex. main character discovered to have awesome ability in a certain game, owns a pro at it, etc.) Although there might be some fanservice, it’s still exciting enough to keep me watching, and it even made me take a look at the manga as well. Maybe by watching this I’d even learn a bit more about mahjong. The characters have a deep history and also have unique personalities, although sometimes a bit generic. Another add to my watchlist.

(P.S. Shortening up my summary/thoughts – about to take up a load of anime, I think. Also wondering how I should set my screens at -> too big = too much space taken up / too small = cut off. =S)
